Takeshi Nishimoto is a classically trained guitarist and composer. The musician, who was born in Fukuoka, Japan, is well versed in European, North Indian and North American jazz. In addition to collaborations with a variety of artists, including the sitar master Rahul Sakyaputra or the project I'm Not a Gun with musician John Tejada, Nishimoto also performs extensively as a solo artist. Nishimoto signed to the UK / German record label City Centre Offices in 2002 and since then has played at many well-known festivals in the USA, Japan and throughout Europe.

Due to his unique guitar style, Nishimoto has been involved in several projects, soundtracks and sound installations. His latest album "Lavandula" was released by the Berlin label Sonic Pieces in August 2013.
