From classical Arabic works to modern Mediterranean melodies
presented by World Wide Music
![]() |
Berlin has long been known as a multicultural melting pot. Yet not only the trend to mix Middle Eastern cultures with those of the West has been established here. The Berlin Oriental Group selects Middle Eastern music as their source of inspiration and has a repertoire ranging from classical Arabic works, right up to modern, Mediterranean melodies. The various cultural backgrounds of the group's individual musicians give rise to an enormous wealth of variety in their sounds. The mix of modern and traditional influences makes their music exceptional. |
