Jazz aus neukölln
Monthly Concert Series with Students and Teachers from the Musikschule Paul Hindemith Neukölln
In the first set of the evening, a newcomer band from the Jazz department of the Music School will
present their current work. As a teacher of the school of music shows in the 2nd set Ray Kaczynski, drummer and one of the school's teachers, will provide some insight into his work in 'Tone Jones'.
The four musicians Ray, Felix, Gerhard and John have made it their task to combine melodic American Free coupling Jazz of the 90s with European free improvisation the present time. Through this, a sophisticated blend of sonic subcultureand and the undeniable Hang discloses a break down of the musical structures in hierarchical criteria, which creates a sharpness in perspective that one thought was long abandoned.
