Racism amongst Queers
Is homophobia in Germany today a problem of the (alleged) "migrant"? Is it possible that a demonstration against homophobia in Neukölln promotes racism? How can you define racist ideas in the spheres of LGBTQ identities?
The Salaam-Shalom Initiative will be asking these and similar questions in this panel discussion. Together they will try to identify where and how LGBTQ activism made a mistake and how one can revive its foundation in solidarity.
An attempted rapprochement on issues of sexuality, homophobia and transphobia through an alternative perspective. A perspective that satisfies the diversity of the gender identities and incorporates the voices of the marginalized and oppressed and whch can be linked to political, economic and social circumstances.
