The Agios Lavrentios Brass Band was founded 10 years ago the Pelion Mountains of Greece in the village of Agios Lavrentios. Every year musicians from all over the world gather in the already legendary "Music Village" for several weeks to learn from each other and to present their works. The musicians of the band - the world's only Brass Band with no brass - come from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Greece, Portugal, Germany and Italy.
Saxophones of all shapes and sizes form the core of the group and Greek rhythms flow through Balkan and New Orleanian melodies.
