Kizomba is a type of partner dance, which comes from Angola. The name 'Kizomba' derives from the Buntu language Kimbundu and means celebration, dance or entertainment.

Kizomba is based on the Angloan dance semba and is considered one of the most popular music and dance traditions in Africa's Portuguese-speaking countries (Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe).
