Formed in 2013, the core of this Berlin-based band consists of cello, soprano sax and guitar. They play eastern-inspired sounds, from melancholy to totally danceable. They have a shared love of European folk music, but, as the name suggests, they are mainly influenced by the music of the Balkans.

And sometimes, as is the case for this performance, they invite along colleagues from other bands to form Balkonians and Friends.
