Impermanence is said to denote the inconstency of all being and the concomitant ephemerality of human existence. It is a fact, inevitability, state of mind, way of life, universal constant and empirical truth, which may be approached philosophically, metaphysically, theologically, culturally or merely at a personal level. In the contemporary context it would be best described as a concept and as with all concepts in the world, it may mean too little or too much depending on the individual. Human Frames engages the audiences in a discussion with Kent Chan that explores the idea of impermanence.
Kent Chan is a filmmaker and artist based in Singapore. He also writes on films and art and is launching an online journal on Southeast Asian contemporary art called 'Locale'.
